1. Who we are and what we sell

These terms are between you and Tanishkha, which runs Skillwik, owned and run by Anisha Rajamurugan (Proprietor). In these terms, "Skillwik", "we" and "us" mean Tanishkha. Skillwik makes guided learning games. It offers the Skillwik website at www.skillwik.com, a learning web app for Chess, Sudoku and Mental Math, and the Skillwik Chess & Games Chrome extension with chess and a handful of puzzle, word and brain games. Everything is free to play. The only thing we sell is Skillwik Pro, an optional digital subscription for the Chrome extension. Pro adds full hint explanations, the full post-game review, every Trap Academy lesson, premium themes and chess levels 4 to 6.

By using Skillwik you agree to these terms. These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and they do not need a signature.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be 13 or older to create an account in the Chrome extension. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. Give accurate information, keep your email account and sign-in codes safe, and use Skillwik only where the law allows it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Using Skillwik

You may use Skillwik for personal, non-commercial play and learning. You agree not to:

• copy, resell or reverse engineer the paid features, or copy our content to republish it;
• disrupt the service, evade limits (including starting a second free trial), or access another person's data;
• scrape protected content, introduce malicious code, or use Skillwik to harm others.

4. Free plan, Pro and the free trial

The free plan lets you play every game in the Chrome extension, with a free account after your first 3 games. Skillwik Pro is an optional subscription billed monthly or yearly: $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year (India: Rs 199 a month or Rs 1,990 a year, plus GST). There are no 3-year or lifetime plans.

Free trial of Pro: 3 days, no card needed. The trial runs on your free email-code account. There is one trial per person, which we check by email address and by device. When the 3 days end, you can pay to keep Pro (a monthly or yearly plan on Razorpay) or stay on the free plan. Nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends. When you pay, we set up your full account sign-in.

We may change prices for new purchases and for renewals. We will tell you inside the extension and on the Pricing page before a new price applies to you.

Skillwik Pro and its free trial are available soon. Until checkout opens, nothing is charged and every game is free to play.

5. Prices, GST and payments

Payments, including automatic renewals, are processed by Razorpay on its secure payment page. We do not receive or store your card or UPI details. Prices in India are in Indian rupees and exclude GST. GST is added at checkout at the rate in force, and the total is shown before you pay. Prices outside India are in US dollars. Your bank may charge its own fees or convert currency. If a payment fails, Pro is not activated. You get a receipt by email for every payment.

6. Automatic renewal and cancellation

Automatic renewal: when you choose to pay, your Pro plan renews automatically each month or year through Razorpay until you cancel. Each renewal is charged at the price you chose: $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year (India: Rs 199 a month or Rs 1,990 a year, plus GST), unless we tell you about a new price first (see section 4). A renewal reminder and a receipt go to you by email. Automatic renewal starts only after you choose to pay. The free trial has no card, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.

You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals and future charges. Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and then stops.

To cancel, email info@skillwik.com from the email address you used to pay, and in the extension once that option is added. A cancellation counts from the time we receive your email, even if we process it later. Read the full Refund and Cancellation Policy.

7. Refunds

In general we do not give refunds. We refund only in the three cases in the Refund and Cancellation Policy: a technical problem that stops the paid service from working and that we cannot fix in reasonable time, a duplicate or wrong charge, or a charge made after a valid cancellation.

8. Delivery

Pro is a digital service. Nothing is shipped. It is switched on for your account when your trial starts or when your payment is confirmed. See the Shipping and Delivery Policy.

9. Learning content and no guarantees

Skillwik is a practice and entertainment product. It does not promise any academic, chess rating, tournament, job or health result. Computer hints and reviews come from a chess engine at limited depth and can be wrong. The games, hints and reviews are provided "as is". See our Disclaimer.

10. Friend rooms and chat

Be kind. Do not harass, threaten, spam or share unlawful content. Room hosts can remove people from their room, anyone can mute someone on their own device, and you can report a member. We may remove or ban accounts that break these rules.

11. Availability and changes to the service

Features may change, pause or end. We aim to keep your saved progress and to give reasonable notice of material changes, but we do not promise the service will always be available.

12. Ownership and open source

Skillwik owns its software, design and original content. You keep the rights in anything you submit and give us the limited permission needed to run the service. Feedback may be used to improve Skillwik. Third-party components keep their own licences, listed in the About screen of the extension.

13. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim about Pro is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using Skillwik at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the service. Cancelling or deleting your account does not remove a refund that you are owed under our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with the courts in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu. Disputes are handled by the courts there, unless a law that protects you says otherwise. Please write to us first at info@skillwik.com, so we can try to fix the problem.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you on the website and inside the extension before a material change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
