Skillwik Chess & Games is a free Chrome extension with chess and a handful of relaxed puzzle, word and brain games. Skillwik Pro is optional and costs $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year. These are the questions we hear most, answered in plain words.

What is Skillwik Chess & Games?
- Skillwik Chess & Games is a Chrome extension with Chess against the computer, Sudoku, Tic-tac-toe on 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7 boards, 2048 with Merge Battle, Minesweeper, Ludo, the daily word game Word Duel, and Quick Games (Reflex Wars and Spot It First), plus Trap Academy for chess opening traps. Arivu, an owl coach, gives hints in chess and the other games. Every game saves automatically, there are no ads, and the games work offline.
Is Skillwik Chess & Games free?
- Yes. You can play every game for free. After your first 3 games you create a free account with your email. Skillwik Pro is an optional paid plan.
How much does Skillwik Pro cost?
- Skillwik Pro costs $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year. In India it costs Rs 199 a month or Rs 1,990 a year, plus GST. There are no 3-year or lifetime plans. Skillwik Pro and its free trial are available soon. Until checkout opens, nothing is charged and every game is free to play.

Is there a free trial?
- Skillwik Pro has a 3-day free trial, no card needed. After 3 days, pay to keep Pro, or stay on the free plan. One trial per person. Nothing is charged automatically. You start it with a free email-code account. The trial is one per email address and one per device. If you do not pay when it ends, you keep the free plan and every game. Skillwik Pro and its free trial are available soon. Until checkout opens, nothing is charged and every game is free to play.
What does Skillwik Pro add?
- Pro adds the full hint explanations, the full post-game review with notes from Arivu, every Trap Academy lesson, premium themes and chess levels 4 to 6. Online friend rooms with chat are available in the latest version and are free for now.
Does Skillwik Pro renew automatically?
- Yes, after you choose to pay. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year through Razorpay until you cancel. Each renewal is charged at the price you chose: $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year (India: Rs 199 a month or Rs 1,990 a year, plus GST), unless we tell you about a new price first. A renewal reminder and a receipt go to you by email. The free trial is different: it needs no card, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.
Can I cancel Skillwik Pro at any time?
- Yes. Cancel at any time by email to info@skillwik.com, and in the extension once that option is added. Cancelling stops future renewals, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. The free trial needs no card, so there is nothing to cancel for it.
What is the refund rule?
- In general we do not give refunds. We refund only if a technical problem stops the paid service from working and we cannot fix it in reasonable time, if you were charged twice or the wrong amount, or if you were charged after a valid cancellation. Email info@skillwik.com. We answer within 3 business days, and refunds go back through Razorpay to the original payment method.
How is Skillwik Pro delivered?
- Pro is a digital service. Nothing is shipped. It is switched on for your account right after your payment is confirmed, and a confirmation is sent to your email.
Does Skillwik track what I do?
- No game content ever leaves your device. Your games, scores and settings are stored in your browser. We only receive your email address if you create an account, and anonymous error reports only if you turn on "Send error reports" in Settings. Reports are kept up to 30 days.
Can I delete my account and data?
- Yes. In the extension, open Settings, then Account and Pro, and press Delete account. This removes your email address, sessions and plan record from our servers. You can also write to us from the email address you signed up with.
Does Skillwik work offline?
- Yes. The chess engine and every game run inside the extension, so you can play without a connection. You only need to be online to sign in or manage Pro.
Are online friend rooms available?
- Yes. Online friend rooms with spectators and chat are available in the latest version, free for now. You need a free account. Playing a friend on the same screen (pass and play) works too.
What is Trap Academy?
- Trap Academy teaches 11 classic chess opening traps move by move, then lets you play them yourself. It also has 12 mate in two puzzles and 9 five-move mate challenges. The first 3 traps are free.
Is the Skillwik website free to use?
- Yes. The Skillwik learning games on this website (Chess, Sudoku and Mental Math) can be used without payment details. Paid plans are only offered for the Chrome extension.
