Skillwik Chess & Games is a Chrome extension that opens in a small popup. Play chess against the computer at six levels, ask Arivu the owl for hints, and learn 11 classic opening traps in Trap Academy. When you want a change, there is Sudoku, Tic-tac-toe, 2048, Minesweeper, Ludo, the daily word game Word Duel and two Quick Games. Every game saves as you play. It is free to play, with an optional Pro plan.

Chess

Chess with a friendly coach called Arivu
Play the computer at six levels. Ask Arivu for a hint when you are stuck: you start with 3 hints, earn 1 more for every 10 moves, and can hold up to 5. After the game, open the review to see where it turned, with the better move drawn on the board and a short explanation.
Trap Academy
Learn 11 classic opening traps by playing them, move by move, then practise them yourself. The first 3 are free. There are also 12 mate in two puzzles and 9 five-move mate challenges. Every trap line is replayed by an automated test with the chess.js rules library.
Free and Pro
Skillwik is free to play. Skillwik Pro is optional and costs $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year. In India it costs Rs 199 a month or Rs 1,990 a year, plus GST. Cancel at any time. There are no 3-year or lifetime plans.
Skillwik Pro has a 3-day free trial, no card needed. After 3 days, pay to keep Pro, or stay on the free plan. One trial per person. Nothing is charged automatically.
Paid plans renew automatically each month or year through Razorpay until you cancel. Each renewal is charged at the price you chose: $4.99 a month or $49.90 a year (India: Rs 199 a month or Rs 1,990 a year, plus GST), unless we tell you about a new price first. A renewal reminder and a receipt go to you by email.
Cancel at any time by email to info@skillwik.com, and in the extension once that option is added. Cancelling stops future renewals, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Online friend rooms with chat are available in the latest version, free for now. Create a room with a free account and share its 6 character code. A room holds up to 12 people: 2 players plus spectators who can watch and chat. Playing a friend on the same screen works too.
Private by design
- Your games, scores and settings stay on your device.
- The chess engine runs inside the extension, so it works offline.
- The extension asks for one browser permission only: storage. It cannot see the sites you visit.
- We receive your email address only if you create an account, and anonymous error reports only if you turn on "Send error reports" (off by default).
- We never sell your data and never show ads.

Does Skillwik track what I do?
- No game content ever leaves your device. Your games, scores and settings are stored in your browser. We only receive your email address if you create an account, and anonymous error reports only if you turn on "Send error reports" in Settings. Reports are kept up to 30 days.
Does Skillwik work offline?
- Yes. The chess engine and every game run inside the extension, so you can play without a connection. You only need to be online to sign in or manage Pro.
Are online friend rooms available?
- Yes. Online friend rooms with spectators and chat are available in the latest version, free for now. You need a free account. Playing a friend on the same screen (pass and play) works too.
